  2. Read 1 Timothy 2:1-6. How does Paul want the Ephesians to pray? What reason does he give for their obedience in these prayers?

  3. What does Paul mean when he says pray “for all people”? What does he not mean?

  4. What makes it hard to pray for our leaders? How differently might you pray for leaders you agree with versus those you disagree with?

  5. Read Luke 6:27-36; Romans 12:9-13:7; 1 Peter 2:13-25. How might these passages help you as you pray for those in authority?

  6. If you are praying for someone's salvation and not seeing any results, is it ever okay to stop praying?

  7. How can a person who doesn't yet feel compassion for the lost cultivate that feeling and enhance it further?
