Sunday
Reflect on the weekly readings with the following questions:
Presence over progress: In Exodus 33:12–23, Moses refuses to move forward without God’s presence. Where in your life are you tempted to “keep going” without prayerful dependence - and what would it look like to pause until you sense God’s leading?
Honest prayer & holy surrender: In 1 Samuel 1:9–20 and Psalm 51, Hannah and David bring raw honesty - pain, confession, and need - without pretending. What do you need to speak to God plainly right now (grief, sin, fear, longing), and what might repentance or surrender look like in that area?
From request to worship: Hannah’s story moves from desperate asking (1 Samuel 1) to confident praise (1 Samuel 2:1–10). How would your prayer life change if you practiced worship before you see the answer - and what would you thank God for today based on His character, not your circumstances?
Guidance with integrity: Psalm 25 ties guidance to humility, repentance, and trust. Where are you asking God for direction while also holding onto control, resentment, or a hidden agenda - and what is one obedient step you can take that aligns your heart with His ways?
What you want most: In 1 Kings 3:5–14, Solomon chooses wisdom over “extras,” and God shapes the rest around that priority. If God asked, “What do you want Me to give you?” what would your honest answer reveal - and how could you realign your desires toward what helps you love God and people well?
