Pastor Hana’s Weekly Reflection
Leadership isn’t a title—it’s character in action. Start leading in the small stuff.
Ever met someone who had the title of leader but didn't actually lead? Maybe it was a team captain who never showed up to practice or a group leader who let everyone else do the work.
Leadership is not about having the loudest voice or the flashiest skills. In 1 Timothy 3 Paul lays out the blueprint for godly leadership. And spoiler alert, it's all about character! Paul tells us that leaders need to be respectful, honest, self controlled, and trustworthy. Basically, a leader's heart should be just as strong as their actions, whether you're leading a group, a team, or even just leading yourself.
Godly leadership starts with being the kind of person others can look up to and trust.
Think about the leaders that you admire. What qualities do they have that you could start growing in your own life?
You don't have to wait for a big moment to lead. Start by leading in the small stuff. Maybe it's how you treat others, how you handle tough situations, or how you manage your time and energy.
The truth is leadership isn't about power, it's about influence. And the best influence comes from living a life of integrity, respect, and humility.
So whether you're leading a group or just leading yourself, remember that true leadership starts with who you are when no one is watching. Keep growing, stay humble and let your actions speak louder than words.
