Sunday

Reflect on the weekly readings with the following questions:

  1. Paul instructs Timothy to treat different groups in the church—older men, younger men, older women, and younger women—with respect and purity (v. 1-2). How do you show honor and care for others in your church and community?

  2. In verses 3-8, Paul emphasizes caring for widows and family members in need. How can you demonstrate God’s love through caring for those who are vulnerable or in need around you?

  3. Paul warns against idleness and gossip (v. 13). How do you use your time and words to build others up rather than tear them down? Are there any habits you need to change in this area?

  4. Church leaders and elders are called to be honored and held accountable (v. 17-20). How do you support and pray for the spiritual leaders in your life? How do you respond to correction when needed?

  5. Paul advises Timothy not to be hasty in appointing leaders and to keep himself pure (v. 22). How do you seek God’s guidance before making important decisions, especially regarding leadership and influence?
