Pastor Kara’s Weekly Reflection

It’s easy to focus on our own needs. Look up, reach out, and lead with love.

It is so easy to get wrapped up in our own wants and needs, but in 1 Timothy 5, Paul reminds us of something very powerful - that the church is a family and we need to be there for one another. He calls Timothy and us to treat one another with care and respect. He talks about treating older men like fathers, younger women like sisters, looking after widows with honour and treating leaders with fairness.

Why? Because when we belong to God's family, we are called to look out for one another.

So today, even if it may be hard, take a moment to look up from your own needs and look around.

Is there someone in your life who needs encouragement today?

Maybe there’s a burden you can help lift or a quiet act of care that could really speak volumes to someone.

You were never meant to do this life alone and neither were they. So today, let your actions be led with love and show the world God's kindness.
