Reflect on the weekly readings with the following questions:
Paul warns that some will fall away from the faith due to deceitful teachings (v. 1-2). How can you guard your heart and mind against false teachings and stay rooted in biblical truth?
In verses 7-8, Paul encourages believers to train themselves in godliness, comparing it to physical training. What spiritual disciplines (prayer, Bible study, fasting, etc.) can you commit to strengthening in your daily life?
Paul tells Timothy not to let anyone look down on him because of his youth but to set an example in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity (v. 12). In what ways can you be an example of Christ in your community, regardless of your age or position?
Verse 14 speaks about not neglecting the spiritual gift given to Timothy. What gifts has God given you, and how are you using them to serve Him and others?
Paul instructs Timothy to persevere in his life and teaching because it will save both himself and those who hear him (v. 16). How can your personal faithfulness impact those around you and encourage them to grow in their walk with Christ?
