Reflect on the weekly readings with the following questions:

  1. Paul describes the qualities of overseers and deacons (v. 1-13). Why do you think godly character is more important than skills or abilities in spiritual leadership? How can you apply these qualities in your own life, even if you are not in a leadership role?

  2. In verse 5, Paul states that a leader must manage their own household well. How does your faith influence the way you lead and serve in your home, workplace, or community?

  3. Paul emphasizes that leaders should not be new believers to avoid pride and falling into the devil’s trap (v. 6). How can you stay spiritually mature and humble in your walk with God?

  4. Verse 9 speaks of holding to the mystery of the faith with a clear conscience. What does it mean to you to have a "clear conscience" before God, and are there areas in your life where you need to grow in integrity and faithfulness?

  5. Paul calls the church the pillar and foundation of truth (v. 15). How can you contribute to strengthening your church community and upholding God’s truth in your daily life?
