Pastor Kara’s Weekly Reflection

In 2 Timothy 2, Paul tells Timothy to be strong in grace, endure like a soldier, and stay faithful—but there’s one line that hits especially hard:

“Don’t get caught up in useless arguments.”

That’s hard, right? We live in a world full of debates and online battles. But Paul’s not saying truth doesn’t matter—he’s saying don’t waste energy fighting over what doesn’t.

Instead, pursue righteousness.

That means in every word, every action, every post, every choice—we need to ask ourselves: Does this reflect Jesus? Does this build up, or tear down?

Being right isn’t the goal. Being more like Jesus is. So today, step away from the noise—and run after what really matters.
