Reflect on the weekly readings with the following questions:
Paul reminds Timothy of the sincere faith that was passed down from his grandmother and mother (v. 5). Who has influenced your faith journey, and how can you be a spiritual influence for others?
Paul encourages Timothy to fan into flame the gift of God and not be afraid (v. 6-7). Are there any fears or doubts holding you back from fully using the gifts God has given you? How can you step out in faith?
In verse 8, Paul urges Timothy not to be ashamed of the gospel or of suffering for Christ. Have you ever hesitated to share your faith because of fear or opposition? How can you grow in boldness?
Paul declares that Jesus has destroyed death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel (v. 10). How does this truth shape the way you view suffering, challenges, and even death?
Paul says he is not ashamed because he knows whom he has believed (v. 12). How strong is your confidence in God’s faithfulness? What can you do to deepen your trust in Him, especially in difficult times?
