Pastor Kara’s Weekly Reflection
When it’s easier to argue—pray. Prayer unites where opinions divide.
Timothy chapter 2 reminds us to pray for all people, for kings and those in authority. Paul starts this chapter with a call to prayer. It's easy to pray for people we love, but Paul challenges us to go further, to lift up all people, even those who frustrate us and even leaders.
Prayer invites God into every situation.
It's not just about asking God to fix things. It's about aligning our hearts with His, and seeing others the way He does in a world that can often feel divided by politics, opinions, and even sports teams. Prayer unites and helps us to become peacemakers. God changes our perspective and gives us wisdom in every situation.
So today, when tensions can feel high or you see how different perspectives and preferences can affect relationships, instead of joining in on conversations that can divide, stop, and pray and watch, as God uses those moments to bring peace and not division.
