Reflect on the weekly readings with the following questions:

  1. Paul reminds Timothy to remain in Ephesus to correct false teachings (v. 3-4). Are there any influences in your life that may be leading you away from Biblical truth? How can you stay grounded in God's Word?

  2. In verse 5, Paul says that the goal of correction is love that comes from a pure heart, a good conscience, and sincere faith. How can you ensure that your faith and actions are motivated by love rather than pride or self-interest?

  3. Paul describes his own transformation from a blasphemer and persecutor to a recipient of God's mercy (v. 12-16). How does Paul’s testimony encourage you about God’s ability to redeem and use anyone for His purposes?

  4. Paul charges Timothy to "fight the good fight" and hold onto faith and a good conscience (v. 18-19). What challenges or struggles in your life require you to fight for your faith, and how can you remain strong in God?

  5. Hymenaeus and Alexander rejected faith and suffered the consequences (v. 19-20). What practical steps can you take to guard your heart and remain faithful to Christ, avoiding spiritual shipwreck?
