Sunday
Reflect on the weekly readings with the following questions:
Talking to your own soul (Psalm 42–43): The psalmist names despair and preaches hope to himself. What emotions are loudest in you right now, and what truth about God do you need to intentionally “repeat” to yourself this week?
Confession as clarity (Daniel 9:1–19): Daniel’s prayer is soaked in Scripture, confession, and dependence on God’s mercy. Where might you be blaming circumstances or other people instead of owning your part - and what would a humble, specific confession sound like?
Burden that becomes intercession (Nehemiah 1:1–11): Nehemiah lets bad news break his heart and turn into focused prayer and action. What situation (family, church, city, school, workplace) do you keep thinking about - and how could you turn that burden into a consistent prayer rhythm plus one concrete step?
Praying Jesus’ priorities (John 17): Jesus prays for unity, protection, holiness, and mission - not comfort or ease. If your prayers matched Jesus’ focus for the next month, what would change in what you ask for yourself and others?
Asking “too big” on purpose (Ephesians 3:14–21): Paul prays for inner strength, deep love, fullness, and God’s power at work within. Where have your prayers become small or cautious - and what is one bold, faith-filled request you can start praying that depends on God’s strength rather than yours?
