Hana’s Weekly Reflection

What you surrender shows who truly rules your life.

Imagine this… Jesus is walking into the city… and people are throwing their stuff on the ground. Jackets, palm branches … everything. Why? Because they’re saying, ‘You’re the King.’

Now here’s the question, what would you throw down?

Matthew 21 starts with celebration: Palm Sunday. People are shouting, praising, showing up. But just days later, everything changes.

Jesus calls out fake faith - He’s after authenticity, not performance.

He tells His followers to stay ready – calling them to watchfulness.

He remains steady even when others fall away – showing faithfulness.

In the garden, He prays, “Not my will, but Yours” – that’s surrender.

And then the cross happens. It looks like defeat. But three days later, we see the truth – it was victory all along.

Palm Sunday isn’t just about celebrating Jesus. It’s about responding to Him.

So what are you laying down?

Your pride? Your plans? Your control?

Because the same King who rode in on a donkey is still worth surrendering everything to.
