Pastor Hana’s Weekly Reflection
Love is more than a feeling – it’s a way of living.
You know those people in your life who genuinely care about you, not just when things are good, but when things get messy too? The kind of people who check in, encourage you, and remind you of who you are?
That’s the kind of heart Paul had for the Thessalonian believers.
In 1 Thessalonians 3:12, Paul writes, “May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else, just as ours does for you.’”
Paul wasn’t just a preacher sending out a message; he was a spiritual parent pouring his heart into people he deeply loved. His devotion went beyond teaching; he nurtured, encouraged, and prayed for them like family. He wanted their love to grow, not just for God, but for one another.
That’s what real devotion looks like. It’s not about perfect attendance or impressive knowledge; it’s about genuine care. It’s walking alongside others, investing in them, celebrating their growth, and staying committed even when things get hard. Paul didn’t just talk about love; he lived it, and his example challenges us to do the same.
Who in your life needs that kind of love and commitment from you? Maybe it’s someone who’s struggling, someone new in your community, or someone who just needs to know they’re not alone. What would it look like for your love to overflow this week?
