Pastor Hana’s Weekly Reflection
Thankfulness changes how we see everything.
You’ve probably heard this verse before; it’s one of those that ends up on coffee mugs, wall art, or Instagram captions: ‘Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances.’ It sounds simple… until life gets hard.
Paul isn’t telling us to ignore pain or pretend everything’s fine. He’s inviting us to live with a deeper awareness of God’s presence in every situation.
Gratitude doesn’t erase what’s difficult; it transforms how we see it.
When we thank God in all circumstances, we’re choosing to trust that He’s still good, still faithful, and still working. That’s what it means to live as children of light: we don’t let darkness dictate our attitude. We let God’s faithfulness shape our perspective.
Joy, prayer, and gratitude aren’t just reactions; they’re rhythms of the heart that keep us anchored when life feels uncertain. And when we live that way, our peace and thankfulness become a light that points others back to Jesus.
So, what would it look like for you to choose thankfulness this week, not because everything is easy, but because God is still good?
