Pastor Hana’s Weekly Reflection

Faithfulness isn’t flashy, it’s steady. Hold onto truth when everything else shakes.

It's easy to stay strong when life is calm, but what about when everything starts to shake? When the pressure builds, the future feels uncertain, or people around you start doubting what's true. That's where real faithfulness shows up. In Second Thessalonians, chapters one and two, Paul writes to a group of believers who are facing persecution, confusion, and pressure to give up on what they believe.

Yet Paul encourages them to stand firm to hold on to the truth that they had been taught. To keep trusting God even when it was hard. Now, faithfulness doesn't mean that we never struggle. It means staying rooted when things around you start to move. It's choosing to remain steady in who God is, even when life feels uncertain or the world pulls you in a different direction.

And Paul reminds them that God sees their endurance and honours their perseverance. Staying faithful doesn't just strengthen you. It strengthens everyone watching your example when everything around us feels unstable. God's truth is the anchor that doesn't shift, and faithfulness isn't flashy, but it's powerful.

It's what keeps your faith alive under pressure. So here's a question. When life feels heavy or uncertain, what truth about God do you need to hold onto so your faith stays steady?
