Nana’s Weekly Reflection

Life is full of choices—but not all choices lead to a life walking in step with God.

Proverbs 9-16 is packed with wisdom we can all use.

In these chapters God talks about and blessing hard workers, people who listen to correction, who choose wisdom over pride. Someone who builds their house up instead of tearing it down. And then there's what God warns us against: pride, the wicked, the lazy, and foolishness.

A wise person does the hard thing for the right reason, and a fool does the easy thing for the wrong reason.

Proverbs 15:14 says, “A wise person is hungry for knowledge, but a fool feeds on trash.” How often do we feed ourselves with endless content and entertainment, instead of opening up the word instead of something that actually benefits our life?

Wisdom isn't just a big spiritual concept. It shows up in everyday decisions.

So today, slow down and ask yourself: “Is my heart teachable?” Because the posture of your heart determines the direction of your life.
