This year, our theme is about serving in your area of spiritual gifting. We hope that throughout the weekend, you hear from God about how you can make a big impact on people's lives using your spiritual giftings.
To make the best use of our time, we kindly request that you complete the Spiritual Gifts test and the Enneagram test before our Saturday sessions:

Join us at our Mississauga Campus for a powerful all-campus Worship & Prayer Night featuring guest speaker Kevin Shepherd, CEO of Crossroads and YesTV.
Kevin has a deep passion for the Church and will challenge and encourage us as we lean into our calling. You don't want to miss this!
Saturday, Sep 13 | 9 am - 12 pm
Both our Milton and Mississauga campuses will gather together again for a joint morning session at our Mississauga Campus. We’ll enjoy a light breakfast together, take part in a Spiritual Gifts Assessment, and dive into practical breakout sessions that will equip you to serve in a healthy and sustainable way.

Rick is the Senior Pastor of Portico Church and a licensed psychotherapist, bringing together both spiritual and psychological insight in the care he provides. For over 20 years, he has faithfully served the communities of Mississauga, Milton, and Brampton, walking with people through both the joys and the challenges of life. His teaching style combines a strong grasp of theology with a heart for applying Scripture to everyday life, making the Bible come alive for people from all walks of life.
With spiritual gifts of encouragement and exhortation, Rick has a unique ability to both inspire and guide others toward growth and healing. His background as a psychotherapist adds depth and practicality to his teaching, offering tools that connect faith with everyday life.
As an Enneagram 7, Rick brings an energetic, creative, and joy-filled presence to every room he’s in. So when you come to the seminar, you can expect not only meaningful insights but also a fast-paced, engaging, and enjoyable experience.

Your Personality Matters More Than You Think

Amanda is an experienced educator with a deep passion and heart for students. She has been a part of Portico for over 20 years, serving across the Milton, Brampton, and Mississauga campuses, involved in kids ministry and leading numerous short-term missions trips. She also serves on the board of directors for Regeneration Community Outreach in Brampton.
Professionally, Amanda has taught in four public school boards across Ontario, piloted a program at Fanshawe College, and served as a resource teacher at the Central Board office. At the board level, she has supported literacy and numeracy student success teachers and led professional development for Guidance Counsellors. Over the course of her career, she has dedicated herself to creating learning environments where every student feels seen, valued, and inspired to reach their full potential.
Today, she is the principal of a dynamic and diverse middle school in Mississauga, where she continues to invest in the success and development of her students. When she’s not working or serving at church, Amanda enjoys cuddles with her dog and recharging in nature.

Seeing your whole life as ministry

Natalie is the Associate Pastor at Portico Church. Before entering full-time ministry, she dedicated over twelve years to policing, working in roles such as Detective and Training Officer. During that time, she worked to bring justice, safety, and dignity into people’s lives, often walking with individuals and families in their most difficult moments. That commitment to justice and care continues to shape her pastoral calling, where she seeks not only to protect and serve but also to guide and restore people in need.
Ordained with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada (PAOC), Natalie has had the privilege of serving in churches of all sizes and settings, from small rural congregations to large multi-site ministries. Over the years, her ministry has included international missions, youth, discipleship, and church planting.
Natalie is passionate about building healthy teams and creating meaningful connections with people of all ages, stages, and backgrounds. Outside of work, Natalie enjoys DIY home projects and travelling.

Duane is the Senior Associate Pastor of Portico Community Church, where he has been part of the pastoral team for over four years. Before joining Portico, Duane dedicated much of his ministry to serving churches in Dundas, Toronto, and Etobicoke. His journey into full-time ministry was shaped by years of faithful volunteer service across the Greater Toronto Area, where his heart for people quickly became evident.
For over twenty-seven years, Duane has been an ordained minister with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada (PAOC). Throughout this time, he has walked with people through seasons of joy, challenge, and growth, always pointing them toward the hope and truth found in Christ. His ministry has spanned teaching, pastoral care, and a commitment to building up the Church.
Known for his pastoral kindness and deep care for others, Duane is passionate about helping people grow in their faith and live out their calling, and his ministry reflects both experience and genuine compassion. Outside of work, Duane enjoys movies, pickleball and spending time with his family.

Building habits for deeper encounters with Jesus

Shaun is a seasoned leader with a background in both executive leadership and theological study. He’s been part of Portico for almost two years and serves on the Mississauga Worship Team. Over the past 15 years, Shaun has held senior management roles in the fields of product management, strategy consulting, banking, and a taste of entrepreneurship.
Throughout his career, he has built a reputation for growing businesses, developing people, and leading teams, ranging from small, specialized project groups to large, multi-market teams and operations. Most recently, Shaun completed his Master of Theological Studies at Tyndale University, further grounding his leadership in a strong biblical and theological foundation.
Drawing on a blend of experience, his passion is helping leaders grow - both in their own leadership and in their ability to build healthy, high-performing teams that make a lasting impact. On a personal note, Shaun enjoys motorcycling, playing guitar, and perfecting his latte art.

Becoming the kind of leader others want to follow

Charlene is an experienced Registered Psychotherapist and an ordained minister with the PAOC, with a passion for supporting people in times of need. Charlene has been a part of Portico for four years and serves on the Worship team and leads the growing choir.
For over two decades, Charlene has dedicated her life to supporting individuals from all walks of life as they navigate both crisis and non-crisis seasons. Her passion is to create a safe and welcoming space where people can address the barriers holding them back and take meaningful steps toward living fuller, more empowered lives. Charlene's experience has included serving as a prison chaplain and a family ministries pastor, roles that have deepened her understanding of emotional and spiritual care.
Since 2008, Charlene has focused her professional efforts on psychotherapy, working with individuals, couples, and families facing a wide range of life challenges. Her approach blends deep compassion with practical tools, helping others find hope, healing, and renewed purpose. Outside of work, Charlene enjoys reading, trying interesting recipes, and songwriting.
