Pastor Jesse’s Weekly Reflection

  • How can you embrace forgiveness and trust God’s sovereignty when facing betrayal or hardship?

God redeems what feels wasted; He turns it for our good.

Have you ever been accused of something that you know you didn't do, or have you ever been betrayed? How did that make you feel?

Joseph knew exactly what that felt like, and yet despite his betrayal, slavery, false accusation and imprisonment, Joseph rises to power in Egypt.

Joseph would go on to say, at the end of Genesis 5:20 50, “you intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people.”

God uses all these events to fulfill His greater plan, saving many lives during famine, including the future Nation of Israel.

Joseph was a man who remained faithful to God even in the most difficult circumstances.

What area of your life might God be intending for good?
