Reflect on the weekly readings with the following questions:
Paul instructs believers to serve with respect and integrity, especially in their workplaces (v. 1-2). How can you honor God in your daily work, whether through your attitude, diligence, or relationships?
In verses 6-10, Paul warns about the dangers of loving money and emphasizes that godliness with contentment is great gain. Are there areas in your life where you struggle with contentment? How can you develop a heart that treasures God above material things?
Paul encourages Timothy to flee from evil and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance, and gentleness (v. 11). Which of these qualities do you need to grow in most, and what steps can you take to cultivate them?
Paul commands Timothy to “fight the good fight of the faith” and take hold of eternal life (v. 12). What spiritual battles are you facing right now, and how can you stand firm in faith through them?
In verses 17-19, Paul warns the rich not to put their hope in wealth but in God, who provides everything for our enjoyment. How can you use your resources—whether financial, time, or talents—to glorify God and serve others?
