Pastor Hana’s Weekly Reflection
Waiting doesn’t mean forgotten. God is already at work.
I don't know about you, but whenever I order something online and I get the email saying it's out for delivery, end up waiting impatiently for the package to arrive, I keep checking the tracking number, and sometimes I feel like it's taking forever to show up. This is kind of what the advent of hope is.
God's promises are on the way, and you might not see them yet, but they're already in motion now. Hope isn't just wishing things will get better. It's trusting that God will keep his promises. When Jesus was born, he became proof that God hadn't forgotten about his people. After centuries of silence, hope showed up in the form of a baby in a manger.
Advent reminds us that even when life feels uncertain or delayed, God is still working behind the scenes. Real hope doesn't depend on what we see. It depends on who God is.
What are you hoping for this season? How can you trust that God is already at work?
