Sunday
Reflect on the weekly readings with the following questions:
1. Joy in Scripture is rooted in God’s restoration and future promises. What situations in your life feel “dry” or barren, and how does Isaiah 35:1–10 invite you to hope for God’s renewal?(Isaiah 35:1–10)
2. When you think about the “fullness of joy” in God’s presence (Psalm 16:8–11), what practices help you stay near to Him—and what habits pull you away? (Psalm 16:8–11)
3. Like the shepherds, joy often grows when we share what we have seen God do. Who might God be prompting you to share the good news with this week? (Luke 2:15–20)
4. Jesus says that abiding in His love leads to complete joy. What does “abiding” look like for you right now, and how could you cultivate deeper daily connection with Him? (John 15:9–11)
5. Peter speaks of “inexpressible joy” even in trials. How have you experienced joy during hard seasons, and what does this reveal about the foundation of your joy? (1 Peter 1:3–9)
