At Portico Community Church, Child Dedication is much more than a special moment or a prayer of blessing over a child. It is a public commitment made by parents to raise their child according to Biblical principles, within the context of a Christ-centred home and church community.  

Child Dedication reflects a parent’s desire and commitment to intentionally guide their child in faith, discipleship, and participation in the life of the church. It is also a commitment by the church family to support, encourage, and pray for both the child and the parents throughout that journey.

Before completing the application form below, we encourage you to prayerfully consider whether you are ready to make this commitment.

If you are not yet ready to proceed with Child Dedication, we would still be honoured to pray privately with you and your child on a Sunday through our pastoral team. Our team is always happy to support, encourage, and pray with your family.
