Sunday
Reflect on the weekly readings with the following questions:
Peter encourages leaders to shepherd God’s people willingly, eagerly, and as examples to others. Whether you lead in your home, church, workplace, or community, how can you reflect the heart of the Chief Shepherd by serving others with humility and integrity? (1 Peter 5:1–4)
Peter calls believers to clothe themselves with humility and cast all their anxieties on God because He cares for them. What worries or burdens have you been carrying that God is inviting you to surrender to Him today? (1 Peter 5:5–7)
Peter warns believers to stay alert and resist the devil, standing firm in their faith. What spiritual habits help you stay vigilant against temptation, discouragement, or deception, and where do you need to become more spiritually alert? (1 Peter 5:8–9)
Peter promises that after we have suffered for a little while, God Himself will restore, support, strengthen, and establish us. How have you experienced God’s restoring or strengthening work during a difficult season, and what hope does this promise give you today? (1 Peter 5:10–11)
Peter closes his letter by encouraging believers to stand firm in God’s grace and to live in peace with one another. What practical steps can you take this week to remain firmly rooted in God’s grace while encouraging peace and unity within your family, church, or community? (1 Peter 5:12–14)
