Sunday
Reflect on the weekly readings with the following questions:
Peter calls believers to leave behind their old sinful way of living and pursue God’s will. What habits, attitudes, or desires from your old life is God asking you to surrender so you can follow Him more wholeheartedly? (1 Peter 4:1–3)
Peter reminds believers to remain faithful even when others misunderstand or criticize them for following Christ. Have you ever been tempted to compromise your faith to fit in? How can you remain steadfast while responding to others with grace? (1 Peter 4:4–7)
Peter encourages believers to love deeply, show hospitality, and faithfully use their spiritual gifts to serve others. What gifts has God given you, and how can you intentionally use them this week to bless someone and bring glory to Him? (1 Peter 4:8–11)
Peter tells Christians not to be surprised by trials but to rejoice because they are sharing in Christ’s sufferings. How might God be using a current difficulty to strengthen your faith, deepen your dependence on Him, or shape your character? (1 Peter 4:12–14)
Peter encourages those who suffer for doing what is right to entrust themselves to their faithful Creator and continue doing good. What situation in your life requires you to trust God more fully, and what would it look like to faithfully continue doing good despite the outcome? (1 Peter 4:15–19)
