2018 Short Term Missions Trips
July 6-17, 2018
Our time in Mwanza, Tanzania will be spent working with Julius & Jade Kenyamanyara (Directors of the VOH “Village of Hope”) to facilitate the following: Annual Medical checkups & Dental checkups (should person(s) with such skill set be a part of the team), along with teacher training and classroom development.
Although the team make up will be primarily medical and teaching professionals there will be a need for administrative support for this team. So if have administration/organizational skills please apply!
July 22-August 4, 2018
Through partnership with Mukti Volunteer Village (www.muktivillage.ca), the team will be carrying out Math and English assessments for 1,200 children in North India. The first part of the trip will involve working with 1,000 children near Dehradun (two schools in Rishikesh). The second part of the trip will involve working with 200 children at a school in Jaipur.
You don’t have to be a trained teacher to be a part of this team. Team orientation will cover classroom activities for children. Team will be engaging with children from disadvantaged backgrounds. Interest in helping with classroom activities, playing and dancing, simple art projects with children is helpful. We are also looking for those gifted in computer/IT, photography, videography, graphic design and writing skills. Let us know if you are a medical profession who can perform basic medical checkups and create medical history for children. Once our team is confirmed, team members will meet in Mississauga to go over India trip orientation and daily schedule. We will help you with how to apply for an Indian visa.

* In order to be considered for an STM trip, a $500 deposit and completed application must be submitted by Feb 25. Applications will be reviewed by the Missions Committee and only those approved to serve will be selected to join each team.
